Your Lucky Day — 2010
Short about chaos in a convenience store after an elderly patron wins the lottery by Dan Brown, who previously created the intro for House. Also, dude from Boy Meets World is in it. The editing is pretty cool, with flashes of strong imagery as the action takes place.
One more thing, I don’t know if this is an in-joke for the sound people or what, but I can always spot that “78 point 5, code 6, 105 north avenue 52” cop sample that is in any TV show or movie with police. I first heard it while playing Spider-Man Cartoon Maker. Which, now that I think of it, was definitely the first time I made digital art. I remember making Peter walk up to MJ and say “SEX”. I thought it was fucking hilarious.

Dread — 2009
Canadian film based on a Clive Barker short-story. It had some good ideas, but overall wasn’t amazing. I just liked how this chick looked with her huge birthmark. Check it out if you’re into horror/bored.

Lourdes — 2009
Wheelchair-bound Christine makes a pilgrimage to Lourdes, a commune in the Pyrénées Mountains. The film does very well to display the human aspects and inner working of Lourdes. The volunteers and workers make plans for drinks whilst feeding disabled patrons, tell religious jokes, gossip about each other. Most of the pilgrims go seeking a miracle. The film poses a lot of questions about these miracles; mostly literally as patrons and workers come to a priest seeking answers. Christine’s story is the main focus, but there are lots of interesting characters. I enjoyed the film a lot and I’m crushing on Christine’s aid pretty hard.

Barnaby Roper for GQ
I just watched Moon for a second time and was reminded of this dope ass techninja / Ma$e moon suit that Rockwell wore in the film. I was looking for a screencap of it. No such luck. I found pics of the director Duncan Jones rocking it though. Then, I ran into this photo on photographer Barnaby Roper’s site and though it doesn’t look exactly the same I’m assuming these exist elsewhere.
Does anyone know anything about these jawns? If only I could tuck this into some Timbs. I think hood astronaut is the next big shit.
Actually, I just found it. This is a Selk’Bag 3G +44 Synthetic Sleeping Bag and can be copped on Amazon for $150. There’s also an olive green color and a murdered out version.

I’ve had this screencap from Les Yeux Sans Visage on my computer for a year or two atleast. So, I did something with it.
This is all I want to do this summer.
Did you see my Jesus chain?
